Our little bakery in Santa Monica is looking for an additional barista and closer for our very busy shop. This position is part time from Wednesday to Sunday with an emphasis on the hours between 10am and 4pm. We are currently to fill 30-35 hours per week to start with a more full time schedule for the right candidate. Qualified candidates must be organized and efficient and exhibit kindness, flexibility and great customer service skills. Our bakery has an open kitchen and a small team, making it important to be able to move from back to front of house and help out where needed during bake-off and operating hours. Candidates must have at least one year of barista experience on a manual machine in a very busy environment to be considered. This position requires lifting multiple 50 lbs bags of flour and other ingredients a day, receiving inventory, greeting and helping customers and assisting in the pastry department. Fluency in Spanish is a plus! You must be open to performing all tasks required, including but not limited to restocking, working the register, taking orders, boxing up orders, greeting customers, mopping, deep cleaning, entering information on a laptop and working collaboratively.
