Position Summary:

This part-time position involves a lot of cleaning, regular coffee preparation, and consistent/effective teamwork. Each day that you arrive, you'll be expected to provide second-to-none customer service. We want all of our customers to leave caffeinated (unless they choose the decaf route) and happy! If hired, you'll begin your first day at the register learning the ins and outs of our menu. As you become more familiar with the job and its requirements, we'll offer additional trainings. We offer our employees anywhere between 15-30 hours per week, and this is a tipped position. This should go without saying, but higher tips come from happy customers :) Most of our baristas earn an additional $4

• 6/hour in tips over the base pay.

Please note that hours are limited in the beginning, but they will ramp up as you gain experience and training. Our training is extensive but it progresses at your own pace.

Qualifications:

• Must love coffee!
• Must be 18 or over
• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Barista experience (preferred)
• Must be available to work on both Saturdays and Sundays (partial availability on both weekend days is required, but full availability is preferred).
• Must be flexible to work varying shift times throughout the week (openings, closings, etc.)
• Food Handlers card required (can obtain online once hired).
• Able and committed to providing exceptional customer service to our patrons.
• Must be highly motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
• Must be able to work as a part of team.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Cleaning duties including scrubbing down the bathroom, sweeping/mopping the floors, washing/sanitizing dishes, glass, etc...
• Memorization of all drink recipes/variations.
• The desire to make every drink outstanding (don't sacrifice quality to finish drinks faster)
• Treating difficult customers with a smile :)
• Being proactive and filling any down-time with tasks.
