Summer FOH Server/Barista

Dragonfly Bagel Co Front of House Server Job Summary:

We are a small boutique bagel bakery specializing in bagels made from scratch and by hand. We offer a variety of bagel sandwiches, pastries, beer & wine and excellent service. We are looking for a front of house server provide an incredible experience for the people visiting our shop. Chance for more shifts possible. General Accountabilities include, but are not limited to: Taking customer food and drink orders Maintaining a comfortable, clean, and fun environment for staff and visitors Communicating with the kitchen crew for prompt and correct orders Keeping tables, bar area clean and organized Ensuring all opening and closing jobs are done on a daily basis Knowledge of proper food and cash handling procedures Have a good understanding of proper levels of service Has a calm, quick, friendly, and efficient demeanor maintaining a weekly inventory list and keeping track of general shop needs communicating with customers via text and conversation.

Job Qualifications:

2+ years serving experience in the food or bar industry (within last 5 yrs) Ability to multitask Knowledge of point of sale systems Must be 21 or older Must have California food handler card Can lift 25 lb unassisted Is a self starter and quick to learn Works well independently and with others High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods of time

Skills:

Exceptional organization and time management skills Excellent verbal communication skills Great at listening and collaborating with others Knowledge of foodservice regulations and proper food handling procedures Comfortable working in a fast paced upbeat environment Is a morning person and available weekends Enjoys keeping a clean and organized environment Is good at leading others.

Available shifts and compensation:

Shifts run anywhere between 6am-2:30pm dependent on the day. Open 7 days a week through the summer. Hourly pay is $17-18.50 hour DOE, + Tips!
