Seeking passionate and skilled Baristas to join our team at Tranquilo Coffee, a new neighborhood coffee shop based in historic downtown Whittier. Our Baristas are ambassadors for the brand: upholding Tranquilo Coffee's cup quality and fostering a welcoming & vibrant coffee culture. We are looking for baristas who are excited for a role that includes: Creating high-quality drinks & foods
  • Prepare and serve a variety of creative coffee and tea drinks, including a rotating seasonal menu of specialty drinks and food items
  • Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee-making equipment Caring for the Customer Experience
  • Taking orders accurately & completing orders in timely manner
  • Ability to connect with customers, always welcoming them Supporting Colleagues & Caring for Customer Experience
  • Clear communication and collaboration with team members
  • Maintaining high level of cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and back of house ______________________________
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
  • At least one (1) year previous experience as a specialty coffee shop barista, including food handling experience
  • CA Food handler's card or the ability to obtain prior to first day of work
  • POS use, retail math and cash handling Reliable & Communicative
  • Strong sense of responsibility and the initiative to accomplish tasks independently
  • Proactive and responsive communication
  • Excellent time management
  • High attention to detail Learning mindset, always looking to improve for the sake of the team
  • Excitement to learn about different coffee beans, brewing methods, and flavor profiles
  • Engages in feedback for professional growth
  • Offers new ideas for improving product, customer experience, business operations References 2 managerial references required.
