Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating a welcoming and enjoyable café experience for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions and handle cash accurately. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained in food preparation areas. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while ensuring timely service during peak hours. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy café setting. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math concepts. Familiarity with café operations is a plus; knowledge of coffee brewing methods is desirable. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. A commitment to maintaining food safety standards and cleanliness in the workplace.
