Job Description

This offering is for part time server/barista, range of 2-5 days of work. Training will begin a few days before your first shift. We are an Asian fusion breakfast and brunch restaurant. You will be trained on how to serve and make drinks as well. Training is paid.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly, escort them to their tables, and provide menus. Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special dietary needs or requests are communicated to the kitchen staff.
Table Maintenance:
Set tables with appropriate utensils, napkins, and condiments. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including clearing tables, resetting them for the next guests, and assisting with general cleanliness duties as needed.
Menu Knowledge:
Have a thorough understanding of the menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special promotions. Provide recommendations and answer any questions customers may have about the menu.
Order Coordination:
Communicate customer orders to the kitchen staff and bartenders promptly. Ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered to the appropriate tables in a timely manner.
Upselling and Promotion:
Promote additional menu items, specials, and beverages to increase sales and enhance the dining experience for customers. Use suggestive selling techniques to encourage customers to try new or complementary items.
Cash Handling:
Process customer payments accurately using POS systems, handling cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic payments. Calculate and return change promptly, and maintain a balanced cash drawer throughout your shift.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other servers to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate orders and resolve any issues that may arise. Adherence to
Policies:
Follow all restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations, alcohol service guidelines, and cleanliness standards. Ensure compliance with local food safety regulations and licensing requirements.
Customer Feedback:
Solicit feedback from customers to ensure satisfaction with their dining experience. Address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from management as needed to resolve issues.
Continuous Improvement:
Take initiative to improve your skills and knowledge through training opportunities provided by the restaurant. Strive to deliver exceptional service and exceed customer expectations with each interaction.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred, but not required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and outgoing demeanor. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
