Reporting to the Site Leader, this role is key to ensuring order accuracy, speed, and efficiency while creating the Starbucks Experience for every customer. As a Shift Supervisor, you'll lead by example—deploying baristas, delegating tasks, and keeping operations running smoothly during your shifts. You'll model the values and standards of both Starbucks and Gopuff, helping to foster a positive, customer-focused, and high-performing team environment. Responsibilities Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that reflect the values and mission of Starbucks and Gopuff. Maintain composure and set a positive example for the team during high-volume periods or unusual events. Anticipate customer and store needs by observing and responding to cues in the environment. Communicate effectively with managers and team members to ensure smooth operations. Assist with new employee training, providing encouragement, feedback, and respectful coaching. Provide feedback to managers on employee performance during shifts. Create a positive learning environment by coaching baristas to improve operational excellence. Build strong relationships with your team by understanding their individual motivations, needs, and concerns. Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, including organizing opening and closing duties. Deliver consistent quality in all food and beverage products by following Starbucks recipes and standards. Uphold food safety, sanitation, and health standards at all times. Maintain regular, consistent attendance and punctuality. Qualifications 1+ year of leadership experience in retail, grocery, military, restaurant, or related field (café leadership preferred). Starbucks or other fast-paced café experience preferred. ServeSafe Certification highly preferred. Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Welcoming, helpful, and collaborative attitude with new and existing team members. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes. Tech-savvy and adaptable to new tools and systems.
