The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your role will be pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling practices. Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations based on their preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Perform food preparation tasks as needed, adhering to food safety standards. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or café environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in sales tracking and inventory management. Strong cash handling skills with experience using POS systems; Aloha POS experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for coffee and knowledge of different brewing methods is highly desirable. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
