The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality coffee and food items. This role requires a passion for coffee, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Barista will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring each guest has a positive experience. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks using espresso machines and other equipment Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling Manage customer orders efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards Handle food safety procedures, including proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation practices Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, equipment, and seating areas Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operations Process payments accurately using cash registers and perform basic math calculations for transactions Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling food items or snacks for customers Uphold food industry standards and safety regulations at all times Engage with customers in a friendly manner, promoting sales and enhancing the overall café experience Qualifications Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge preferred Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with guests Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Experience in food service or retail environments is a plus Reliable team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic Join our team to deliver exceptional coffee experiences in a vibrant café setting!
