We are looking for a positive, energetic, and customer-focused Barista/Cashier to join our team. This role requires experience with both coffee & smoothie preparation and POS/cashier systems. If you are upbeat, friendly, and love creating a great guest experience, this position is for you! Responsibilities Prepare and serve espresso drinks, specialty coffees, smoothies, and juices Operate POS system and handle transactions accurately Greet guests with a smile and provide excellent customer service Take food orders from guests seated at the bar, prepare their drinks, and serve both beverages and food items As a cashier, take in-store and take-out orders (including food items) and manage online orders through UberEats and DoorDash Ensure orders are properly prepared, packaged, and handed off to drivers when ready Maintain solid knowledge of the café's food menu to answer guest questions and make suggestions Keep the bar and counter area clean and organized Restock supplies and assist team members during busy hours Follow food safety and hygiene standards Additional Responsibilities (Important) Open and/or close the café when scheduled (including setup and end-of-day closing duties) Be comfortable running the bar and front area independently during slower hours Support team members during peak hours by: Delivering food or drinks to tables Taking orders from seated guests when needed Maintain a flexible, team-first attitude and assist wherever needed Requirements Previous barista experience or experience in the food industry is preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively Time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures Basic math skills for cashiering duties Familiarity with POS systems (especially Square) is preferred Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed Ability to work independently and take ownership of the shift when needed A positive, team-oriented mindset (no "that's not my job" attitude) Why Join Us A passion for coffee culture and serving others is essential.
