Overview We're hiring a guest-focused Barista to lead our coffee/tea service and deliver a polished café experience. This role requires strong technical command of espresso prep, dialing in, and maintaining consistency across service. Responsibilities Prepare espresso drinks, Arabic/Turkish coffee, teas, and cold beverages to spec Dial in espresso daily: adjust grind size, dose, yield, and time; log and maintain consistency Calibrate and maintain grinders and espresso machines; troubleshoot basic issues during service Execute proper mise en place: prep syrups, batch items, stock milk, and maintain workflow Operate POS (toast), handle payments, and manage orders accurately Provide efficient, knowledgeable service and guide guest selections Maintain cleanliness, restock, and follow FIFO practices Uphold food safety, allergen, and dietary protocols Assist with inventory tracking and low-stock reporting Qualifications 1+ year barista/café experience preferred Strong understanding of espresso fundamentals (dialing in, extraction variables, grinder calibration) Comfortable maintaining equipment and beverage quality under pressure Familiarity with Arabic/Turkish coffee (or willingness to learn) POS proficiency, attention to detail, strong communication English required; Spanish a plus
