Cafe Team Member (Barista & Food Prep) Join the team at Three Birds Express , our new café located inside the exciting new Crooked Can Brewing Company in Minneola! We're looking for energetic, dependable, and hospitality-driven individuals who love coffee, great food, and creating memorable guest experiences. As a Cafe Team Member, you'll play an essential role in both the front and back of house—crafting beverages, preparing food, maintaining a clean workspace, and delivering exceptional customer service. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where no two days are the same. Work Location:

In person — Three Birds Express at Crooked Can Minneola, FL What You'll Do Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, efficient service throughout their visit Prepare espresso beverages, coffee, matcha, tea, and specialty drinks according to Three Birds standards Prepare and assemble food items while maintaining quality and presentation standards Operate the Toast POS system and accurately process transactions Handle cash, credit card transactions, and basic register responsibilities Maintain cleanliness throughout the café, including dishwashing, sanitizing workstations, and completing daily cleaning tasks Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department standards Restock ingredients, cups, retail items, and supplies throughout shifts Assist with opening and closing procedures Work collaboratively with teammates to ensure smooth daily operations Recommend menu items and promote seasonal specials to guests Help create a positive, welcoming environment that reflects the Three Birds brand Qualifications Previous barista, coffee shop, café, or food service experience is highly preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling practices Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30 pounds Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Weekend availability is required Bonus Qualifications While not required, we'd especially love to hear from candidates who: Have specialty coffee experience Have food prep or kitchen experience Are comfortable being featured on social media Enjoy creating content and engaging with guests online Are familiar with Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms Feel confident speaking on camera and representing the Three Birds brand As a community-focused café, we love sharing behind-the-scenes moments, new menu items, and team highlights. Team members who are comfortable in front of the camera and enjoy being part of our social media presence are a huge plus!

Important:

This Is a Cross-Trained Position At Three Birds Express, we operate as a true team. We are a small, fast-paced café, and every team member is expected to contribute throughout the entire operation. A strong background in both coffee and food service is highly preferred. While we are happy to train the right person, ideal candidates will have experience preparing specialty coffee beverages, handling food preparation, and working in a fast-paced café or restaurant environment. This is not a position where team members are assigned to only one station. All Cafe Team Members will be cross-trained and expected to: Prepare espresso beverages, coffee, matcha, tea, and specialty drinks Prepare and assemble food items according to recipes and quality standards Wash dishes and maintain clean workstations throughout the shift Stock and organize inventory and supplies Assist guests and operate the register Support both front-of-house and back-of-house operations as needed We are looking for team players who enjoy variety in their day, take initiative, and are willing to jump in wherever help is needed.
