Lively atmosphere Flexible working hours Casual work attire On-the-job training We are hiring a passionate dependable Barista/Cashier who is committed to espresso confection and quality customer service. The ideal candidate has experience as a barista working in the food industry enjoys making espresso and tea specialty drinks and food and takes pride in their work. The barista and cashier prepares and/or directs the preparation of food to be served complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures. Ensures appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and fraud.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers as they enter and promote positive relations with guests Maintain coffee bar and service /display area in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner; returning ingredients to storage after use to ensure freshness Maintain personal health and sanitation standards (washing hands when using restroom, etc.) Introduce customers to the menu and answer their questions Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios etc) Prepare beverages following recipes Serve beverages and prepared food, like breakfast items, pastries, muffins etc Receive and process payments Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs Comply with health and safety regulations Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less A high school diploma or equivalent preferred Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills Possession of Food Handler's Card preferred Previous experience in fast-paced environment preferred Excellent Communication skills Basic reading skills (to read orders on tickets or screen) Organizational skills Multi-task oriented Knowledge of workplace safety procedures Flexibility to work different shifts
