Barista/Cashier

Hello! We are Daycation Coffee, a newly opened specialty coffee and tea shop located in sunny St Pete, FL. Check out our Instagram @daycationcoffee for more shop updates :) We are currently seeking a passionate Barista to join our team and grow with us together. This Barista position will work with the Owner & Lead Baristas closely to deliver top notch drink creations and provide excellent customer service on the daily basis.

• Key Responsibilities
• Complete the required paid training
• Follow the set recipe and SOP to prepare drinks and food
• Ensure all customers receive outstanding service
• Hand wash dishes and maintain a clean and organized shop environment
• Monitor and report on inventory levels promptly
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately
• Work with the team to create new and seasonal offerings
• Assist in creating/brainstorming social media content, when necessary
• Requirements
• Passion for coffee, tea, and hospitality
• 1 year of Barista / Matcha experience is preferred
• Basic latte art skills are preferred
• Excellent communications, time management, and organizational skills
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management
• Familiarity with Square POS systems
• Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures.
• Florida Food Handler Certificate is required within 30 days of the start date

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift, as well as frequent movement behind the bar and throughout the shop. Candidates should be comfortable with repetitive motions and maintaining a steady pace in a fast-moving environment.
