Barista Part-Time Weekend Position

Job Overview Bright Raven Coffee Roasters is looking for an experienced, reliable, and customer-focused Barista who is passionate about specialty coffee and hospitality. This role will support our mini coffee truck at Markham Park Saturdays or Sundays as needed, serving customers in a dynamic outdoor environment centered around community and great service. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in beverage quality, and can thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a warm and welcoming experience for every guest. Duties Prepare and serve espresso-based coffees, and other specialty beverages according to company standards Deliver friendly, efficient, and professional customer service Greet customers, take orders, and process cash and credit card transactions through the POS system Maintain strong knowledge of the menu, and confidently describe or recommend products Upsell additional menu items when appropriate Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewers, blenders, and other equipment Keep the coffee station, work areas, and customer-facing areas clean, organized, and well stocked Restock milk, syrups, cups, utensils, coffee beans, and other supplies as needed Follow food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines at all times Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and cleaning Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs or equipment issues to management Work collaboratively with team members and support other operational needs as needed Handle customer concerns with professionalism and care Experience Previous experience as a barista required Strong knowledge of espresso preparation and milk steaming/texturing techniques Previous customer service experience, preferably in a coffee shop, café, or hospitality setting Passion for specialty coffee, hospitality, and creating a positive guest experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Comfortable standing for extended periods Able to lift up to 25 lbs Comfortable working outdoors in an active, community-based setting Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed Valid Florida driver's license required Must be comfortable driving a manual transmission vehicle Basic math skills for handling transactions and order processing Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred What We Offer $15/hour Tips eligibility Bi-weekly pay Employee discount Opportunities for training and growth Friendly and inclusive team environment Join something special—where great coffee, community, and genuine hospitality come together.
