The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee, ensuring that every customer enjoys their experience at our café. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and providing exceptional service to our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and payment transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices during preparation and service. Assist in food preparation as needed, including light food service tasks such as assembling sandwiches or pastries. Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a balanced cash register. Utilize time management skills to efficiently serve customers during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Engage in sales techniques to promote menu items and enhance customer experience. Requirements Previous barista experience or relevant experience in the food industry is preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests. Familiarity with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems is a plus; training will be provided for the right candidate. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math applications. Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations is essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
