The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced café environment. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and manage customer orders efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including workstations, equipment, and dining spaces. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food and beverage items served. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and reporting needs to management. Collaborate with team members to create a positive, mature work environment while ensuring timely service during peak hours. Requirements Previous experience in food service or the coffee industry is preferred but not required. Strong cash handling skills with experience operating cash registers; familiarity with Toast point of sale system is a plus. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and an understanding of food safety practices are advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers in a friendly manner. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work various weekend shifts, including mornings and afternoons and holidays as needed.
