Job Description
Overview Join our team at The Local Bean in Loganville, GA. We are new, speciality coffee shop that wants to hire great team members! We have a welcoming environment and create personal connections with every single guest. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing outstanding customer service Operate POS system process transactions efficiently and handle cash or card payments responsibly Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas Follow food safety protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals as needed Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and smooth operations Requirements 2 years of previous barista or food service experience is highly preferred; familiarity with coffee industry standards is a plus. Proficiency with POS systems for accurate cashiering and sales processing Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if needed Experience with serving or food preparation in cafés or retail settings is desirable We're dedicated to supporting your growth in the food industry by providing a dynamic work environment that values teamwork, quality service, and professional development.
