Job Description
The Marriott Savannah Riverfront is currently interviewing for a Barista. Overview Join our vibrant café team as a Barista and become the heart of a lively, welcoming environment where quality coffee and exceptional customer service come together. In this role, you will craft delicious beverages, and create memorable experiences for every guest. Your energy and enthusiasm will help foster a warm atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced food industry setting while making a positive impact on our community. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair Greet customers warmly, taking their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS Handle cash transactions, process payments efficiently, and manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the café area, including food preparation and food handling tasks Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness Skills Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar food service role within the food industry Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for efficient sales processing Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail
