Job Overview Join the Seabird team as a Barista and become the heart of our customer experience! In this energetic role, you will craft quality espresso beverages, deliver exceptional customer service, and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help us serve up memorable moments while maintaining efficient café operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service, sales, and food handling within a dynamic retail environment. Daily tips include credit card tips which will reflect on your paycheck, 100% of tips go to staff working, as well as cash tips to take home after each shift. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair Engage with customers warmly and genuinely, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, attentive service Operate Square POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of the trailer area, including food preparation stations and seating areas Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with integrity and accuracy Follow food safety protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness Requirements Previous barista or coffee experience is highly preferred; strong customer service skills are essential Familiarity with POS systems like Square POS or Toast POS is a plus Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math tasks Knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation techniques in a café or food service setting Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as serving and cleaning, ability to lift 40lbs Join us if you're passionate about creating delightful coffee experiences, thrive in fast-paced environments, and are eager to grow your skills in the food industry.
