Job Description
Millstone Bakery is hiring a part time cashier/barista! We have the best customers and team! This is a great opportunity to be part of a fun hardworking team at an artisan bakery in downtown LaSalle. This is for an immediate opening. This is a part-time position with 24-30 hours per week. Pay is based on experience and in the range of $15-$16/hour plus tips (about $2/hour additional). Shifts are generally Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts ranging sometime between 6 am - 3:00 pm. The schedule and shift times may vary based on the bakery needs. Ability to work weekends and holidays is required. Tell us about yourself! We are looking for someone who: Loves talking with people about breads and pastries Has an enthusiastic, driven, and friendly personality Is able to work independently with limited supervision Has strong attention to detail Is good at multitasking and has excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills Has or will obtain a Food Safety Handlers certification This position is responsible for: Helping customers learn about breads and pastries Greeting customers and assisting at the register Preparing espresso drinks Maintaining clean workspace and baking equipment Complying with all applicable sanitation and food handling requirements Maintaining a positive, friendly attitude toward customers and team members Assisting with daily cleaning of the bakery Completing additional tasks as required Millstone Bakery is an inclusive, equal-opportunity employer.
