Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and friendly Barista to join our vibrant café team! Our Cafe is a unique part of this historic town and we are looking for unique individuals to compliment it! Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide excellent service throughout their visit Operate Toast POS systems for order processing and cash handling Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance Manage cash register transactions efficiently, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing registers at shift end Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling food items and maintaining inventory levels Skills Proven experience as a Barista or in the food service industry with a strong focus on coffee experience Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate order processing Familiarity with food safety standards, food handling, and proper serving techniques Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a dynamic café environment Join us to craft exceptional coffee experiences while developing your skills in a supportive, energetic setting.
