Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating high-quality beverages and providing exceptional service to our customers in a fast-paced café environment. Your role will involve not only crafting delicious coffee drinks but also ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. •Weekend availability is a required• Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, counters, and seating areas. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately. Handle cash transactions efficiently using the cash register while ensuring accurate cash handling practices. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; assist with restocking as needed. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards in all aspects of food handling and preparation. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere and encourage repeat business. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or café environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage. A passion for coffee and willingness to learn specific drink building techniques is essential.
