Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and care. Will also be preparing sandwiches and other food items. Engage with customers warmly, taking orders accurately and providing friendly, efficient service. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions quickly and accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas. Handle cash and credit card transactions with accuracy, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed. Follow food safety standards and proper food handling protocols to ensure quality and safety. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high standards of service. Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, supporting overall café operations. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients to ensure availability for daily operations. Uphold excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Qualifications Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and ability to engage guests effectively. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours. Experience in food preparation, serving, or retail environments is beneficial. Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
