This role is responsible for supervising baristas, maintaining coffee standards, and supporting the daily success of the café. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise barista team during daily operations Prepare high-quality espresso drinks, coffee, and specialty beverages Ensure consistency in beverage quality, presentation, and service Train, mentor, and support new baristas Monitor workflow and assist during peak service hours Maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies Handle customer concerns and provide outstanding hospitality Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards Support opening, closing, and cash-handling procedures Requirements Previous barista experience required; leadership experience preferred Strong knowledge of espresso preparation and coffee brewing methods Excellent customer service and communication skills Leadership and team development abilities Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment Experience with POS systems and cash handling preferred Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Flexible availability including mornings, weekends, and holidays Benefits Competitive hourly pay plus tips Employee discounts on coffee and food Paid training and professional development opportunities Career advancement within café management Flexible scheduling options Supportive and collaborative work environment About the Company Illumine Coffee - Nora is a specialty coffee shop dedicated to serving exceptional coffee and creating meaningful customer experiences.
