Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an In-shop Associate, where you'll be at the heart of delivering exceptional food service and creating memorable customer experiences. This role combines food preparation, cashiering, and retail duties in a fast-paced environment, ensuring every guest receives prompt, friendly service. Whether you're assisting with food handling, upselling menu items, or managing POS transactions, you'll play a vital part in our vibrant food industry setting. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, payments, and cash handling with accuracy. Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and offering suggestions to enhance their experience. Manage food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean work environment, including proper food handling and bussing tables when needed. Upsell additional menu items or promotions to increase sales while ensuring customer satisfaction. Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness of the shop area. Support team members during busy periods by multitasking efficiently in food prep, cashiering, and customer service roles. Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafés, or grocery stores is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cashiering or cash handling is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for retail math calculations involving sales transactions and inventory counts.
