This position combines barista and bartender responsibilities, making it ideal for someone over 21 who loves coffee, craft beverages, food service, and building relationships with guests. What You'll Do Guest Experience & Hospitality Create a welcoming, memorable experience for every guest. Greet customers warmly and build relationships with regulars. Learn guests' names, preferences, and favorite orders. Make thoughtful food and beverage recommendations. Resolve customer concerns professionally and proactively. Represent Apogee's culture of hospitality, quality, and community. Coffee & Beverage Service Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea beverages, smoothies, energy drinks, and specialty drinks according to Apogee standards. Craft beer, wine, and cocktails with consistency and attention to detail. Maintain beverage quality and recipe accuracy during high-volume periods. Educate guests about coffee origins, brewing methods, beer styles, cocktails, and seasonal offerings. Assist with menu tastings and product knowledge development. Food Service Serve pizzas, wraps, salads, pastries, shareables, and other menu items with accuracy and urgency. Ensure food presentation meets Apogee standards. Assist with running food and supporting other team members as needed. Operations & Teamwork Accurately process orders using our POS system (Toast). Handle cash and card transactions responsibly. Complete opening, shift-change, and closing duties. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workspace. Wash dishes, restock supplies, bus tables, and support front and back-of-house operations when needed. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service requirements. Report equipment, maintenance, or safety concerns promptly. Demonstrate an ownership mentality by treating the business as if it were your own. Knowledge of specialty coffee, craft beer, wine, or cocktails. Experience with POS systems and cash handling. Responsible alcohol service certification (or willingness to obtain). Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
