Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Prepare and serve coffee beverages, snacks, and light food items following food safety and handling guidelines. Operate cash registers accurately, handle cash and card transactions, and manage cashiering duties with efficiency. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas. Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety standards to promote a safe environment for staff and guests. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards. Support sales initiatives by upselling menu items and promoting special offers to enhance guest experience. Skills Proven experience as a barista or in food service roles within cafés or retail environments. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and transactions. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and sales calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices, proper food handling, and food preparation techniques.
