The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately using POS systems, including Aloha POS. Maintain cleanliness of the coffee shop, including equipment, counters, and seating areas. Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences. Handle food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Manage inventory levels of supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary. Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and provide excellent customer service. Perform basic retail math to ensure accurate cash handling and sales reporting. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems (experience with Aloha POS is a plus). Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food service best practices. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to effectively assist customers and work as part of a team. Previous experience in retail or food service is preferred but not required.
