Job Description

Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on preferences Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety standards Handle cash transactions using a POS system Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in product quality Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours Upsell additional products and merchandise to customers
Requirements:
Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required Understanding of a manual coffee machine, not an automatic Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with a POS system (Toast) is a plus Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds Saturday morning / early afternoon availability Join our team as a Barista and enjoy the following benefits: Competitive pay rate based on experience Opportunities for career growth and advancement within the company•Employee discounts on food and beverages Flexible scheduling options to accommodate personal needs
