morningsinparis About Mornings in Paris We are a French, Parisian-inspired café with locations in Lower Village Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, and Ogunquit. We are excited to now be opening a location in Falmouth and being a part of their wonderful community. For the past seven years, our Kennebunk café has been a beloved local favorite, with Ogunquit bringing the same charm since its opening four years ago. Each of our cafés offers thoughtfully crafted coffee, fresh pastries, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere inspired by European café culture. We proudly serve a loyal year-round community while also welcoming seasonal visitors during the vibrant summer months and during the festive Christmas season. Career Progression Our goal for the Barista role is to support your growth through continuous on-the-job training and exposure to new opportunities, with the aim of advancing to a Senior Barista position.
Key Responsibilities:
Beverage Preparation ​ Prepare beverages from our extensive drink lists or customize them based on customers preference. Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation techniques. Ensure consistent quality and presentation of beverages. Customer Service Take coffee orders from customers and colleagues. Take food orders and package or serve them to customers. Operate cash register and process payment. Operational Duties Opening and closing responsibilities. Regularly check coffee machines throughout the day and maintain cleanliness of the machines and work area. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the service area, including counters, coffee and espresso machines, tables, floors, and bathrooms. You would be a great addition to our team if you: Consider yourself a people person. Work well with others in a fast-paced environment. ​ Are committed to providing excellent service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Can work quickly and effectively without compromising quality. Have previous barista experience (preferred but not essential).​​​​ Physical Requirements The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires standing for extended periods during shifts and frequent walking and movement throughout the work area. Proficient manual dexterity is essential for handling equipment, preparing beverages, and serving food, along with the ability to reach with hands and arms for various tasks. Effective communication skills are necessary, as the employee must be able to talk and hear in a busy environment. Additionally, the role may involve occasional tasks that require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed.
