Key duties include crafting high-quality coffee and food, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace, managing customer interactions, and supporting management in various aspects of the coffee shop's day-to-day functions.
Using Square POS Key Responsibilities Customer Service:
Greet and engage customers, explain menu items, answer questions, take orders, process payments, and provide a positive and personalized experience.
Beverage & Food Preparation:
Prepare a wide range of hot and cold beverages and food items to established standards and recipes, demonstrating advanced skills in coffee brewing and milk science.
Quality Control:
Ensure consistent quality of drinks, food, and service by adhering to company standards, tasting beverages, and coaching other team members.
Training & Mentorship:
Provide on-the-job training, education, and guidance to new and existing baristas, helping them develop their skills in drink preparation and customer service.
Store Operations:
Assist with opening and closing procedures, inventory management, stocking supplies, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, and managing equipment.
Team Support:
Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team environment, and act as a role model for high standards in performance and hospitality.
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of coffee equipment, brew methods, and an understanding of milk science for latte art.
Customer Service:
An outgoing, customer-focused attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Leadership:
Ability to lead by example, motivate others, and maintain a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.
Organizational Skills:
Efficient time management, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Professional Attributes:
Self-motivated, reliable, honest, and adaptable to flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
