Role:
As a Part-Time Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages. Your primary focus will be to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring their satisfaction and encouraging repeat visits. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards, and efficiently managing orders during busy periods. This role requires a passion for coffee, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Basic math skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role. Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment. Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and other beverages according to company recipes and standards. Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations based on customer preferences. Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including cleaning equipment and restocking supplies. Handle cash and electronic transactions accurately and responsibly. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and timely service. Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe environment for customers and staff.
