Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience making hot and cold beverages and an ability to work various roles during busy hours. You should also be able to work various schedules during our hours of operation (6:30am-9pm). MUST be 18 or older to be considered for this position. Minors will NOT be considered at this time. Responsibilities Greet customers as they enter Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios) Prepare beverages following recipes Prepare sandwiches following recipes Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries, sandwiches and muffins Receive payments (cash and credit cards) Keep the bar area clean, washing dishes, etc. Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates Check if all food and beverage items are prepared as required and continue preparing if necessary Comply with health regulations Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items Remain in contact with suppliers about customer requests Experience & Education Previous experience as a Barista is preferred. Food handling experience is required for this position. We will train the right candidate! Ability to work various hours during busy hours is required. Please note that during peak times some days may require working 4 or 5 days in a row. Please inquire if you are interested in working such shifts.' High School Diploma or GED.
