Barista

Base pay + tips averages to a total of $17 per hour. As a barista at Fireside, you'll work together with some great co-workers but also have times that you work independently. You'll have a flexible schedule, an upbeat work environment and you'll earn great tips in addition to your base salary. This is not an automated, assembly-line type of food service - but instead we offer the type of service that is engaged with customers and co-workers, with different tasks to do each shift. You'll be pulling espresso shots, steaming milk, pouring coffee, blending frappes, chatting with customers to give them a great experiences, taste-testing recipes with co-workers, as well as cleaning and maintaining a fresh, safe and clean work station.

Candidates must:

1. Love coffee 2. Be friendly & outgoing 3. Be able to work weekdays, and also have availability on Saturdays & Sundays. (You don't need to work every weekend, but you will need rotate weekend shifts with other co-workers) The coffee shop is open 7 days a week. Monday- Friday 7a-5p Saturday 8a-5p Sunday 9a-4p Baristas must be available to work rotating shifts during our normal business hours.

Barista Duties Include:

Serving customers with a positive attitude Making coffee and other drinks according to recipe Packaging coffee for wholesale customers Cleaning Coffee Shop & Roastery Attend regular all-staff barista meetings Having a learning mindset Working with others, and working independently Helping co-workers with special projects Working at special events We are not a traditional coffee shop, in that we have a non-traditional location and are also a coffee roaster and wholesaler! This is a permanent position (not seasonal).
