About us Baba's is opening it's first brick and mortar cafe and we are looking for MOTIVATED, EXPERIENCED and
POSITIVE
teammates who can help continue Baba's expansion! We strive for a premier culture that encompasses teamwork, collaboration, and values. We are passionate in everything we do, and we are looking for people with similar attributes. Baba's is looking for Barista's to join our team. Our Barista's are experienced and have hands on experience with brewing equipment. Our Barista's will prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea.
What You'll Do:
Prepare beverages following recipes. Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs. Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items. Maintaining cleanliness around bar. Greet customers as they enter. Comply with health and safety regulations Who you are: Energetic and enthusiastic, loves interacting with people! Postitive attitude and adaptable to new environments. Works well under pressure. Identifies problems, develops solutions, and gets the job done. Coffee connoisseur Passionate and lover of the restaurant industry (and of course our hummus!)
ABOUT BABA'S
Founded in 2018 by second-generation Palestinian American siblings Rana Kamal and Khalid Ansari, Baba's is an award-winning purveyor of classic Middle Eastern flavors including hummus and pita puffs. Paying homage to their own family experience, the company is a love letter to the siblings' own baba, or father, who immigrated to the Twin Cities from Jerusalem in the 70s and opened one of Minnesota's first-ever Middle Eastern restaurants, the longstanding Mediterranean Cruise Café. After decades of loyal customer praise at the restaurant, Kamal and Ansari launched the Baba's brand to bring the traditional Arab flavors they grew up with to grocery store shelves. Following the acclaim of their flagship hummus, the Creamy Dreamy Traditional, they've since released fun modern flavors such as Sriracha, truffle, roasted red pepper, and za'atar — all of which can be found in Midwest-region retailers like Whole Foods, Hy-Vee, Fresh Thyme, Lunds and Byerlys. Baba's is opening it's first cafe, a Hummus House and Mana'eesh Bakery in the summer of 2023.
