REQUIREMENTS

Effectively champions the company's vision, mission, culture, and overall business objectives. Supports a high-performance team culture that values continuous improvements, learning and a commitment to quality. Sets up and stocks all areas of the restaurant to execute a successful service, following proper opening and closing procedures. Guest forward attitude. Hospitality is at the core of our restaurant and developing and maintaining positive relationships with new and old guests is paramount to our success. Willingness to learn about and describe the local products and producers that we partner with. Maintains cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage (follows policies, laws, and regulations at all times). Cleans and sanitizes all front of house surfaces throughout each shift. Must learn to operate our espresso and coffee procedures. Collaborates with kitchen team to understand our specials and ingredients, including and understanding of all allergen requests and requirements of our guests. Performs other related duties as assigned. Is high energy and enjoys working in a fast-paced, productive environment. Solid work history, organized and efficient. Dependability to work independently and have commitment to attendance to daily shifts and arrive on time. Basic written and verbal communication skills. Organizational skills. Accuracy, attention to detail and speed in executing tasks. Ability to work as a team member. Follows instructions and directions with a positive attitude. Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Toast. At least 2 years in barista position. Reliable transportation. Ability and interest in learning bar and barista programming. Speak and/or understand English. •

BARISTA SPECIFICATION

•We are looking for someone specifically skilled and interested in high-volume, traditional espresso drinks, in addition to specialty lattes, matcha, etc. Your ability to execute our recipes at a reliable, steady pace and maintain a good relationship with your peers during our busiest hours will guarantee you a spot in this position. We are currently only seeking weekend morning availability, but if you have any interest in more opportunities, those may become available based on performance.

Tips :

During our "daytime" hours, (i.e. before 3pm), FK+B operates under a tip pool. That means for the hours that you are working, from start to finish, a percentage of all of the restaurant tips will be equally divided between each staff member--server, barista, and bar. We are also looking to extend our cafe hours beyond 3pm. In this case, as a PM barista, you may be expected to help host, take to-go orders, and make orders for walk-up guests. In this case, you would earn your own tips, and also may be "tipped out" by our evening servers.
