Barista the local blend Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and high quality cafe food with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, food & assisting customers with their orders, and maintaining a welcoming environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. We are looking for someone preferably with experience in the following; barista, team/shift lead, & food service. Wage will be based on experience. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately, handling transactions with precision. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Prepare cafe style food items and ensure that all food items are handled according to safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment and dining areas. Promote sales by suggesting additional items or specials to customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Experience Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred. Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and food handling practices. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. A positive attitude and willingness to help customers create an enjoyable experience.
