The Barista / Cashier plays a vital role in the Base Lodge Café, responsible for coffee bar operations, cashier duties, and ensuring cleanliness throughout the facility, including restrooms.Job Relationships:
Reports to: Outlet Manager /Lead Barista Employees Supervised:
None Job Specifications:
High school graduate or GED equivalent Previous food service experience, preferably with espresso or cooking experience Excellent communication skills in English Ability to function effectively during high-stress situations Strong interpersonal skillsSpecific Duties:
Ensure high-quality food and beverage service Greet and serve guests courteously Prepare and sell food and beverage items according to specifications Operate cash register efficiently, handling various transactions Maintain knowledge of beverage options and pricing Continuously restock condiment areas Clean dining area, restrooms, and workstations regularly Provide courteous and efficient guest service Mop floors and clean spills promptly Carry supplies to kitchens and restaurants Inform supervisor of any issues or feedback Comply with Health Department regulations Uphold safety and security protocols Establish effective relationships with guests and colleagues Prioritize safety in all activities Report food product shortages or spoilage Familiarize with Whitefish Mountain Resort properties and products Adhere to company policies and directives Subject toAlcohol and Controlled Substance Abuse Policy Safety & Wellness:
All team members must remain vigilant for unsafe conditions or behaviors, conducting regular inspections and promptly addressing any concerns.Work Environment:
Moderate physical activity, lifting objects up to 25 pounds frequently Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours daily Involves frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and stretching Use of chemical cleaning agents; proper training provided Flexibility in schedule changes Travel required to Summit House, including chair lift / gondola ride Work in varying weather conditions, potentially extreme May require weekend, holiday, and overtime work Non-smoking environment This job description outlines the duties and responsibilities of the Barista / Cashier position at Winter Sports Inc.
