$11•13/hour + tips Must be 21+ About Us Drink A Bull is a fruit winery and tasting room in downtown Durham. In the mornings, we operate as a relaxed Tea House serving loose leaf teas in a calm, welcoming environment. Later in the day, we transition into a lively tasting room featuring wine and wine-based cocktails. We focus on creating a clean, consistent, and genuinely enjoyable guest experience . Position Overview We are hiring Tea House Associates to lead our morning service. This role centers on tea preparation, guest interaction, and maintaining a smooth, relaxed atmosphere. This is a low-chaos, detail-focused hospitality role , not a high-pressure bar environment. All team members must be 21+ as limited alcohol service may be required depending on shift coverage. What You'll Do Prepare and serve loose leaf teas with proper steeping techniques Guide guests through tea options and make recommendations Operate Square POS for orders and payments Maintain a clean and organized service and prep area Restock tea, cups, and supplies throughout the shift Wash and handle dishware as needed Assist with light transition duties into tasting room service What We're Looking For 21+ (required) Friendly, calm, and professional demeanor Strong attention to detail (timing, measurements, presentation) Reliable and punctual Comfortable working independently or in a small team Prior cafe, tea, or customer service experience is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to safely lift and carry up to 30 lbs (includes dish racks, inventory restocking, and supply movement) Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts Compensation & Perks $11•13/hour base pay Tips via Square (auto-prompted at checkout) Relaxed, low-stress work environment Opportunity to cross-train into tasting room roles (higher earning potential) Employee discounts Schedule Morning to early afternoon shifts Weekend availability preferred Why This Role is Different This is a calm, hospitality-first role .
