Barista & Hospitality Team Member Press Coffee Lounge - Shelby, NC Press Coffee Lounge is looking for a passionate, reliable barista to join our team. We're more than a coffee shop—we're a gathering place where thoughtful hospitality, craft coffee, and community come together. We're seeking someone with barista experience who takes pride in their work and believes hospitality goes beyond customer service. The ideal candidate notices the details, anticipates needs, and takes initiative to create a welcoming experience for every guest.

Position Details Starting Pay:

$12 per hour plus tips

Primary Shift:

Day shift, typically 8:00 AM - 3:00

PM Additional Opportunities:

Occasional evening shifts may be available

Press Coffee Lounge is open Monday-Saturday from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM What We're Looking For The right person for this role is: Experienced in barista work and comfortable with espresso and manual brewing methods A natural host who values hospitality over basic customer service An overachiever who takes initiative and looks for ways to elevate the guest experience Highly organized with strong time management skills Able to identify what needs to be done and take action without being asked Reliable, disciplined, and dependable A morning person who is ready to start the day with energy and focus Able to manage time and responsibilities well—whether during busy service periods or quieter moments—always finding productive ways to contribute Additional Requirements Applicants must be at least 21 years of age (our business also serves alcohol) Preference will be given to applicants who already hold a Food Handler's Card Preference will also be given to applicants who have completed ABC Alcohol Server Training What You'll Do Prepare espresso drinks and slow-pour coffees with care and consistency Provide a welcoming and memorable experience for guests Maintain a clean, organized bar and café space Assist with opening duties and daily café preparation Support the team in maintaining smooth, efficient service How to Apply We are currently accepting applications only .
