In this role, you will be the friendly face that greets customers, crafting delicious coffee beverages and providing exceptional customer service. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will create a welcoming environment where guests feel valued and satisfied. As a key member of our team, you will ensure smooth operations by managing food and beverage preparation, handling transactions efficiently, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the food industry while sharing your passion for great coffee with our community. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations during transactions Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries promptly Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and throughout the café Handle food handling responsibilities including food safety protocols, food preparation, and serving food items Manage time effectively to ensure quick service during busy periods while maintaining quality standards Qualifications Prior experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is highly preferred Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and café operations Understanding of food safety practices, food handling, and proper serving techniques Experience with coffee preparation, serving beverages, and working in a café or retail setting is desirable Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours as needed Join us to craft memorable experiences for our guests while honing your skills in a lively café environment!
