The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and ensuring that each customer has a memorable experience. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Operate the espresso machine, grinders, and other café equipment with proficiency. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders. Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring all payments are processed efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food and beverage items. Assist with food preparation as needed, including pastries or light snacks offered in the café. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Skills Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; a willingness to learn is essential. Strong cash handling skills with familiarity in operating POS systems. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and an appreciation for different coffee blends is a plus. Commitment to food safety practices to maintain high standards of hygiene in food preparation areas. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being proactive in assisting customers. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating positive interactions with patrons in the café setting.
