Job description: Port Provisions at The Seastreak Port Provisions is a brand new coffee shop located on the water inside of the floating barge at the Seastreak ferry terminal in Highlands, NJ. Port Provisions was built on exceptional hospitality, fresh coffee, great prices, and a true love for providing for our guests. We're looking to add new baristas to our team who have a passion for coffee, move with purpose, and who are committed to putting out high quality specialty drinks that reflect themself. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Greet every customer with a warm welcome Brew fresh coffee, espresso, cold brew, and specialty beverages Prepare food menu items according to recipe while following food safety guidelines Serve specialty brunch-style cocktails Maintain a clean, organized work space and shared service areas Monitor inventory and restock as needed Maintain an upbeat demeanor during high volume periods What Matters to Us A personable employee who likes to develop relationships with our customers Organization, cleanliness, and an eye for detail Reliability, punctuality, and consistency A creative eye that likes to bring ideas to the table A true team player that believes no task is too small A driven employee who takes initiative Adaptability in a constantly changing environment Experience, Skills, and Requirements At least two years of prior barista experience in a café environment Proficient in coffee knowledge and kitchen practices Familiarity in coffee and café equipment Prioritizes cleaning and sanitation Ability to follow a recipe and maintain portion control Early morning, weekend, and holiday availability Must meet legal requirements to serve alcohol per state law Must be able to lift up to 50lbs Must be able to work for extended time periods on floating vessel Benefits Medical Vision Dental 401K 401K Match Paid Time Off We are an equal opportunity employer.
