We're a locally loved coffee shop known for our thoughtfully crafted drinks, warm atmosphere, and commitment to quality. Located just steps from the train station, we're perfectly placed for a stress-free commute. We're looking for a reliable and energetic barista to join our team. Responsibilities Open the café and prep for the day Craft high-quality coffee and espresso drinks with care and consistency Provide warm, welcoming customer service Operate the POS system and handle transactions efficiently Keep the café clean, organized, and inviting Help with restocking and daily operational tasks Requirements Minimum 2 years of barista experience required Must be punctual and dependable—8 AM start is non-negotiable - 7:30 arrival to open the store by 8 AM. Strong espresso and coffee knowledge Friendly, professional, and works well under pressure Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs Perks One free drink per shift Free coffee and shift drinks Employee discounts on food, merch and products Supportive, close-knit team Convenient location right by public transit Room to grow within Roots +
