Operate POS systems such as Shift4 and Toast to process sales quickly and accurately. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures with integrity and attention to detail. Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and the café environment. Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks to support smooth café operations. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and accurate cashiering. Requirements Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred. Familiarity with POS systems such as shift4 or toast is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy. Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures. Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the café area, and lift moderate loads when necessary.
