Barista

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality coffee and beverage selections. Your expertise in customer service and knowledge of food safety will ensure that every guest has an exceptional experience. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages and other drinks with precision and care. Should be proficient in frothing milk and latte art. Operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently, handling transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety and handling standards. Assist customers by providing recommendations based on their preferences and answering any questions about the menu. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies, notifying management when restocking is needed. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or retail environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and basic retail math skills is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A genuine passion for coffee and beverage preparation, along with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Knowledge of food safety and handling practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
