Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating an exceptional café experience for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and providing outstanding customer service. Your role is crucial in ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile and a desire to return. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and payment handling. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders accurately and efficiently. Handle cash transactions and perform basic math calculations for sales. Ensure compliance with food safety standards during food preparation and handling. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee, pastries, and supplies. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment. Skills Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred. Proficient in using POS systems (Aloha POS or Micros POS). Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Familiarity with food safety practices and food handling regulations. Basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions. Experience in food preparation and service within the food industry is beneficial. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
