As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating exceptional coffee beverages and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will involve not only crafting delicious drinks but also ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Operate the espresso machine and other equipment efficiently while maintaining cleanliness. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper cash management. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation surfaces and equipment. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards during food handling and preparation. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Requirements Previous experience in the food service or coffee industry is preferred but not required. Knowledge of retail math and basic math skills for accurate cash handling. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with food safety practices and food handling regulations. Ability to prepare food items safely and effectively while maintaining high quality standards. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and team members. A passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques.
