In person Join a quality-focused café team at Mandy Bean Mandy Bean is looking for an experienced barista to join our team in Yonkers. We're building a café environment centered on hospitality, consistency, speed, and craft. We're looking for someone who is confident behind the bar, comfortable dialing in espresso, able to pour clean free-pour latte art, and committed to creating an excellent guest experience every shift. This role is ideal for a barista who enjoys fast-paced service, takes pride in beverage quality, and wants to be part of a team with high standards. Responsibilities Prepare and serve hot and cold coffee and non-coffee beverages to recipe and quality standards Dial in espresso and make adjustments throughout service as needed Pour consistent free-pour latte art during service Deliver warm, attentive, hospitality-forward customer service Greet guests promptly and create a welcoming in-store experience Take customer orders accurately and handle cash/POS transactions responsibly Operate espresso machines, grinders, TurboChef, and other café equipment safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, bar, BOH, and guest areas throughout the shift Complete opening, running, and closing side work and checklist tasks on schedule Restock cups, milks, syrups, retail, utensils, and other supplies as needed Support FIFO, inventory organization, stock put-away, and general BOH organization Monitor equipment performance and communicate maintenance needs to management Follow health, safety, and food handling standards Work collaboratively with the team to maintain strong service flow and guest satisfaction Qualifications Required 1+ year of specialty coffee experience Strong hospitality and customer service skills Confidence dialing in espresso and operating espresso equipment Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently Ability to learn and retain recipes, menu knowledge, and service standards Reliable in-person attendance Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation Preferred Free-pour latte art experience Experience in a high-volume or quality-focused café Familiarity with restocking, prep, FIFO, and inventory support POS and cash handling experience Interest in workflow, quality, and continuous improvement Benefits Paid training Employee discount Complimentary personal drinks 401(k) with employer match eligibility after 3 months of employment Application Question Please list the latte art designs you can pour consistently during service.
